About us

This is the official web portal of the Drongo Foundation (CIN - U85300WB2022NPL257635), an Indian non-profit, non-government charitable organisation registered on 6 October 2022 under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013. Our primary focus is on Integrated Waste Management. We also hold 12A and 80G certifications.

It was primarily incubated on 24 December 2016 and on that day our journey started in search of eco-friendly integrated waste management procedure to clean our beloved home, our lovely planet, the Earth with zero residual waste generation.

We found out, besides technology, innovation and funding, the key to achieve global detoxification is the need of purification of our mind and soul because the awareness and willingness of the mass plays the pivotal roll.

When we dig into the issues of Waste Management and their solutions, the primordial Vedic Science and Culture showed us the way as it says Mukti (Liberty) is the destiny, Tyag (Sacrifice) is the way, Karma (Action) is the journey, and in this journey of Life, Dharma (not to be confused with religion) is the divine light of knowledge, wisdom and devotion that guides us in the darkness of uncertainty. So we can see, the Aim of Life, interestingly, also the Aim of Waste Management. In each and every small steps of our life, we need to reduce our usage by sacrificing excess consumption, and explore greener alternative to liberate ourselves from non-treatebles. The most important part is efficient utilisation of energy and resources, what we call Minimalism.

Hence, to integrate and implement SUSTAINABLE technologies efficiently, we must reform our SOCIAL disciplines, culture and mindset, that is majorly influenced by industrial revolution leading to excessive consumption of resources, and the only way to curb extravagant lifestyle is resurrection of SPIRITUAL awareness.

Thus our motto culminated to three words: Sustainability-Sociality-Spirituality

The Challenge

What if we only eat and don't discharge?  WE DIE !!!!

Thus, we are killing ourselves, giving our children a slow and painful death, accelerating our planet towards global warming and climate change. How?

On average, we generate 0.74 kilograms of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW)/capita/day. Thus, we accumulate a humongous amount of 2.01 billion tonnes of MSW every year, and it is rising day by day (source).

The solution

Humanity as a ‘religion’: Way of Life

We need to keep in mind that we are the only species that pollute this world by producing unsustainable materials. Where other species make this planet beautiful.

As the most superior being in this planet, we need to take the highest responsibility to keep it livable. As we all know "With great power, comes great responsibility."
